Checklist for inclusive learning environment

Under the last few months the project team has been working with the results of the first benchmarking visit. As a concrete result from this first process in this project will be a checklist for inclusive learning environment.

The checklist for inclusive learning environment includes themes such as promoting student involution, enhancing participatory pedagogy and learning in educational institutes as well as developing regional cooperation and multiprofessionalism. The checklist is a practical tool for teachers and administrative staff and this list is aimed at describing and evaluating the present state of inclusive learning environment.  Checklist includes the critical elements of inclusive learning environment and gives guidelines to developing inclusive practices.

Project team has made a poster proposal to ATEE conference that would present the checklist. We will know about the possible acceptance or rejection decision in few weeks.

What else has happened during this spring is that we have contacted some new partner candidates and now we are analysing the best and possible partner for one benchmarking workshop. In May we are meeting our partner from Budapest University of Technology and Economics in an online meeting. In this meeting we are planning the process and focusing the themes for the benchmarking workshop in Budapest next autumn. Hopefully our ideas are flying as high as these hot-air balloons below.
